2012 CSCOPE State Conference

As with statewide CSCOPE conference events in the past, this year’s 2012 CSCOPE State Conference will offer a variety of strands and topics that focus on successful implementation of the CSCOPE curriculum management system and improving student achievement. In addition, this year’s conference format offers the following unique features:

• A Pre-Conference event (optional – requires registration through different workshop ID number)
• Two general sessions featuring nationally recognized keynote speakers – Mike Lipkin and    Marcia Tate
• Breakout sessions organized to allow for increased seating capacity

Pre-Conference Event

The Pre-Conference event associated with this year’s 2012 CSCOPE State Conference is designed to provide sessions for district staff new to CSCOPE, and for staff members who may desire a “refresher” course on the primary components of the CSCOPE curriculum system. In addition to examining the value of CSCOPE’s six primary components (VADs, YAGs, TEKS Verification, IFDs, Assessments, and Exemplar Lessons), participants will understand how to use these components as a connected curriculum system.

Each Pre-Conference session will be available in a 3-hour block format to allow for a deeper level of discussion and learning. Registered participants will be able to select only ONE of the following sessions:

Content-specific session: Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies (primary audience: teachers)

Leader/administrator session (primary audience: campus and/or district leaders)
