CSCOPE Commended for Science TEKS Alignment
Texas school districts are required by law to provide instruction that aligns with the state standards, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). CSCOPE, developed by the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative (TESCCC), is designed to assist Texas schools with improving student performance through a customizable, online curriculum system that helps districts cover all required state standards.
To ensure that all CSCOPE content is fully aligned with the TEKS, the TESCCC commissioned Resources for Learning, an independent, Texas-based company to review its content. Resources for Learning began with CSCOPE’s science curriculum in the summer of 2012, with other content areas to follow. The science report is now complete, and CSCOPE was commended for “consistently high TEKS coverage” in grades K-12. The review identified a limited number of coding errors between CSCOPE documents that have since been corrected. The CSCOPE Science curriculum is 100% aligned with the TEKS. Read More ![]()
